One of the priorities of Barrhill Community Action Plan, is to improve the aesthetics of the village, creating a nice and welcoming place for people to live, work and visit. As such, 39 large, high quality planters were purchased and placed along the Main Street.
Whilst Liam, the village Handyman, oversees the maintenance of all the planters, a planter adoption scheme was developed, providing opportunities for residents to adopt a planter and to water and weed or dead head the plants when required. The community has embraced this and the village is looking very pretty and colourful indeed!
